I started to use the Internet in 1994, soon after I moved into public relations, leaving science and my biology diploma behind. I soon got active in one of the first news services and highly influencial discussion groups at that time, called GWIN by Mark Montgomery. Working in PR, I realized the potential for communication and marketing, but it was too early for most of the ideas, it was still high end to have a website which was often bnot more than text. End of the nineties I joined SAP, using my communcations and Internet skills but soon I got involved in market research and competitive intelligence for over a decade now. In the last years I focused increasingly on the future management, researching the future of IT markets, industries and our society. For me it seems, that I walked a large circle and now, with the world wide web and the mobile revolution creating a true networked society, I feel like I may have to say a lot about it. I will weave pictures of potential futures, using ideas from a wide spectrum of evolution, biology, system theory, music, healing and alternative thought and belief models, showing connections that get otherwise lost, showing trends that explain a larger development.
I would like to thank Andreas Mohr for the setup of the blog and his background picture.
